Class Doubts - Module 5 - English Batch

As human beings, we are naturally averse to risks because everyone likes to lead a risk-free life but those who take risks in life tend to be more successful and considered heroes. This may seem to be true in most facets of life, however, is not completely true in the case of the financial market and trading in the stock market. The market is very volatile and there is no limit for a stock even a stable one to go up or down.

The term risk is very much synonymous with financial and stock markets, as “there is no high and no low”. Risks are difficult and almost impossible to avoid in the world of financial markets and trading, though it is very much possible to minimize or mitigate the same. One such instrument used for risk management in the stock market is derivatives more popularly known as Futures and Options.

Futures and Options have been a life saver for investors who are trying to protect or hedge their portfolios, and business owners dealing in commodities or import-export business. However, like most good tools, technology, or ideas, even Futures and Options applications have been misused or manipulated to suit the interests of manipulators, speculators, or gamblers in the market.

Through this course, I have been trying to raise awareness around the ethical or right approach to participating in the stock market, particularly with respect to trading.

Module 5 of my course, “A Complete Course On Indian Stock Market” includes detailed information regarding the understanding of the stock market, underlying assets and issuing organizations. The chapters of module 5 are-

Class 38. Introduction to risk management.

Class 39. Overview of derivative market.

Class 40. Understanding future contracts.

Class 41. Understanding future pricing, premium & discounts.

Class 42. Understanding leverage, margin, M2M & payoffs.

Class 43. Risk management scenarios with future contracts.

Class 44. Understanding call options.

Class 45. Understanding put options.

Class 46. Understanding option pricing.

Class 47. Options for both investors and traders.

In this module 5, I will be teaching Futures and Options and how these can be applied from the risk management point of view and for value trading. It is then possible to come with a strategy to beat the market and to nullify all negative points associated in futures and options.
