4th March Market Report


Daily Market Report:

The Indian Equity benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were closed negative at the end of the day. BSE Sensex was down by 366.22 points (0.66%) to 55102.68 and Nifty was down by 107.90 points (0.65%) to 16498.05

ONGC, UPL, PowerGrid were the top gainers

Nifty support seen at 16400 followed by 16200 and resistance seen at 16700. 

Below 16400 Nifty will continue further weakness.

Open Interest:

On open interest, Maximum put open interest was seen at 16500 followed by 16000. Maximum call open interest was seen at 18000 followed by 17000

Put Writing seen at 16600 followed by 16000

Call Writing seen at 18000 followed by 16500

India VIX down by 3.69% from 29.23 to 28.16 level.

Participant wise open interest data of FII Shows call selling in the index is more than put selling. FII's were 45% long in index future was decreased compared to the previous day.

In Cash Market, FII's are net sellers 6644.65 crores, and DII's are net buyers 4799.24 crores.

Options data suggests a trading range between 16000 to 17000

Global Markets:

U.S Markets were closed negative at the end of the day

Dow Jones industrial average was down by 96.69 points (0.29%) to 33794.66

S&P 500 Index was down by 23.05 points (0.53%) to 4363.49

Nasdaq Composite was down by 214.08 points (1.56%) to 13537.94

European markets were negative at the end of the day

Most of the Asian markets are negative right now 07.30 IST

SGX Nifty trading 233 points lower to 16278  07.30 IST

SGX Nifty indicates a negative start for Indian markets.
